Voyage of Columbus 3D Screensaver 1.0 build 4

The 3PlaneSoft-developed application Voyage of Columbus 3D Screensaver will come in handy this Columbus Day, the day when Christopher Columbus's arrival in the Americas is celebrated. In case you did not know this, this year Columbus Day falls on the 11th of October, 2010.

During Columbus Day you could set the Voyage of Columbus 3D Screensaver as your computer’s default screensaver. Why you ask? Because the screensaver displays the Niña, Pinta and Santa Maria as they travel across the ocean. The camera moves around so that you can better see the ships, the waves, Christopher Columbus and others standing on board the ships.

The images are accompanied by music. You can turn off the music in one of two ways if it bothers you. You can easily turn of the music while Voyage of Columbus 3D Screensaver is running by pressing the M key on your keyboard – this will mute the sound. Or you can go to the Settings window and disable the music.

Installation – at the time of writing this, support is provided for Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7 (32-bit and 64-bit editions). During the installation process you can choose between these languages: English, German, French and Russian.

During the installation process you are asked to install the 3Planesoft Screensaver Manager. This manager provides information about your currently installed 3PlaneSoft screensaver and about other screensaver 3PlaneSoft has to offer. The manager allows you to access the settings of all the 3PlaneSoft screensavers installed on your system. It also comes with a feature to automatically change the screensaver after a specific amount of time, or to display a different screensaver each time the computer goes idle. This manager is quite useful if you have more than one 3PlaneSoft screensaver.

Limitations – a nag screen will appear after 90 seconds when using the trial version. To get rid of this nag screen you have to purchase a license.
